The restoration process involves shot blasting the original bathtub to bare cast iron frame and an inspection to ensure that there are no fractures or cracks. A rust proofing treatment is applied together with a priming undercoat to seal the metal cast. A filling material is then applied to the cast before sanding and polishing machines create a smooth finish to the cast.
