| C. THE RESTORATION PROCESS - STEP BY STEP |
| |
- Baths are checked for fractures and cracks and repaired if necessary. A good indication of whether a bath is in good condition to be repaired is if the inside porcelain surface of the bath is still in tack. This suggests that the cast is well protected and when shot blasted, leaves a good, clean cast to work with.

| |
- The bath is then shot blasted. This removes all traces of rust and any other resurfacing matter on the bath. The bath is then checked for further faults.
| |
- An industrial zinc primer is applied to the entire cast.
| |
- Filling agents are applied to the entire bath to smooth out imperfections
| |
- Several coats of Synthetic Porcelain are applied to the bath in your chosen
colour
| |
- The bath is then baked to complete the restoration process
